Rest 3 minutes, then 6 rounds of

Results: Used 105lbs for the Presses. Metcon 20:47 (8:10 and 9:37 each round). Broke Cleans into 4+2 to save my grip. Great workout.

Deadlifts then Snatches, Push Press, Power Clean, DL and K2E

5 rounds of

  • 3 x Deficit Deadlift @ 1.65 x Bodyweight from 10cm Step

Based on a Wodwell WOD from Insatgram. For time complete the following, EMOM stop and do 5 x Knees to Elbow (start first round with the 5 K2E)…

  • 25 x Alternating Hang Dumbbell Snatch @ 16kg (r+l=1rep)
  • 25 x DB Push Press @ 16kg
  • 25 x DB Hang Power Clean
  • 25 x DB Thrusters
  • 25 x Barbell Deadlifts @ 185lbs

Results: Used 255lbs/115kg for the Deadlifts. Metcon 16:57, real grip killer since K2E are so slow. Messed up and only did 25 Snatches 🤪. DL weight was too heavy… recommend dropping to 135lbs since I was only able to do 2-3 reps before losing hold.

Kettlebell Lunges, Swings and Pushups

AMRAP in 20 minutes

  • 2 x Goblet Hold Alternating Lunge @ 24-32kg (total, 1 rep each leg)
  • 2 x Kettlebell Swing @ 32kg
  • 2 x Pushups with Hands on Kettlebell Ball
  • 4 x Goblet Hold Alternating Lunge @ 24-32kg (total, 2 reps each leg)
  • 4 x Kettlebell Swing @ 32kg
  • 4 x Pushups with Hands on Kettlebell Ball
  • etc.

Results: 8 rounds plus 44 reps. Had to reduce the weight on the lunges to 24kg after round 6 since my hands were too sweaty and I was feeling like I was going to drop the 32kg KB.

Thrusters and Row

Short one today… For total calories, every 2 minutes for 16 minutes

  • 8 x Thrusters @ 95lbs
  • Max Calorie Row

Results: 108 calories (including slop at the end of each row… did not reset the counter). Wow… tough one. Did all sets of Thrusters unbroken and still only had 1 minute to row. Recommend picking a weight which is challenging, but you can do without setting the bar down for all 8 rounds… otherwise there won’t be enough time to row.
