Bodyweight 6 Ways

Every 2 minutes for 6 minutes (three sets) do

  • 6-8 x Bench Press @ Bodyweight (currently 165lbx/75kg)
  • 6-8 x Strict Pull ups

Then every 2 minutes for 6 minutes do

  • 6-8 x Back Squat@ Bodyweight
  • 6-8 x Strict Toes to Bar

Then every 2 minutes for 6 minutes do

  • 6-8 x Deadlift @ Bodyweight
  • 6-8 x Dips

Between each round take 8-10 minutes to setup for the next set and to warm up for the lift (Bench Press, Back Squat, Deadlift). Warmed up for each of the lifts with 5 rounds of 5 reps of increasing weight to get up to the working weight.

Results:  Did all 8 reps for each set, except in the first round, so could have gone up with the weight for the Back Squats and Deadlifts. Nice workout after the killer workout from last weekend :-).

Double Unders, Dumbbell Deadlift, Dumbbell Front Squat and Handstand Pushups

For time do

  • 100 Double Unders

Then 5 rounds of

  • 10 x Dumbbell Deadlifts @ 20kg per hand
  • 10 x Dumbbell Front Squats @ 20kg per hand
  • 10 x Handstand Pushups

Then

  • 100 Double Unders

Results:   17:45. Good shoulder workout.  20kg Dumbbells are a lot harder than a 40kg bar (would have probably finished in half the time)!

Back Squats then Box Jumps, T2B, Sandbag Thrusters and Dips

Not for time do five rounds of

  • 5 x Back Squats

For time do

  • 50 x Box Jumps
  • 25 x Toes to Bar
  • 50 x Sandbag Thrusters
  • 25 x Dips
  • 50 x Sandbag Thrusters
  • 25 x Toes to Bar
  • 50 x Box Jumps

Results:  Back Squats, finished with 5 x 185lbs.  For the metcon, compare to July 27, 2014 workout when the result was 20:30…  This time 17:30.  Differences were that I substituted Thrusters for Wall Balls and Dips for Ring Dips.

Barbell Rows and L-Sit, then Push Ups, Front Squats, Push Press and Situps

Warm up with a 1k row.

EMOM for 10 minutes do the following.  Start with spending 10 minutes getting to a good working weight for the Barbell Rows so you can do the 8 reps without breaking and with good form.

  • Even minute – 8 x Bent Barbell Rows
  • Odd minute – 20 second L-Sit  accumulated

For time do 4 rounds of the following.  This is a crossfit.com WOD and has a good time cap of 26-30 minutes, but I set my time cap for 20 minutes since I didn’t have more time.

  • 30 x Push Ups
  • 20 x Front Squat @ 95lbs
  • 20 x Push Press @ 95lbs
  • 30 x Situps

Results: Used 95lbs for the barbell rows.  Metcon was really hard. I ended up only doing 2 rounds plus 70 reps in the 20 minutes.

Deadlifts then V-Ups, Walking Lunges and Pushups

Every 3 minutes for 15 minutes do

  • 3 -5 x Deadlift

For time do 3 rounds of

  • 25 x V-Ups
  • 50ft Walking Lunges with Dumbbells @ 20kg per hand
  • 25 x Pushups
  • 50ft Walking Lunges with Dumbbells @ 20kg per hand

Results:  For the Deadlifts did 135/185/225/255/275 lbs.  For the metcon 14:30.
