Strict Press then Dumbbell Bent Rows, S2OH and Burpees

4 rounds of

5 x Strict Press @ 90% of 3RM

Then, inspired by Street Parking’s Isis Vault WOD, AMRAP in 6 minutes

  • 30 x Dumbbell Bent Rows @ 16kg per hand
  • 30 x Dumbbell Shoulder to Overhead @ 16kg per hand
  • Max Burpees

Rest 4 minutes then for time

  • Same number of Burpees from first round
  • 30 x Dumbbell Shoulder to Overhead
  • 30 x Dumbbell Bent Row

Results: Used 125lbs for the Presses. Metcon 45 Burpees and 6:29. Fun format….my timer even let me program poth part into a single workout.

Bench Press and Ring Pullups then Pushups, KB Snatch and Row

3 rounds of

  • 12 x Bench Press @ 95% of Bodyweight
  • Max Effort Ring Pullups

Then AMRAP in 20 minutes

  • 8 x Ring Pushups
  • 12 x Kettlebell Snatch per Arm @ 16kg
  • 16 Calorie Row

Results: Used 150lbs for the Bench. Ended up with 12-11-8 reps (will try again next week and see if I can improve on this). 8-8-8 on the Pullups. Metcon 6 rounds plus 8 reps.

Strict Press then Devil Presses and Step Ups

4 rounds of

  • 6 x Strict Press @ 80% of 3RM

Then AMRAP in 12 minutes

  • 3 x Devil Press @ 18kg per Hand
  • 20 x Alternating Reverse Lunge to Step Ups (10 per leg) @ Bodyweight

Results: Used 115lbs for the Strict Press. Went much better this time… got all 4 rounds in. Heavy Devil Presses since it is only 3 reps 😀. Metcon 6 rounds exactly. Not as challenging as I thought it would be, next time add weight to the step up or go lighter on the Devil Press and increase to 6 reps.
