Clean and Jerk then Clusters and Pullups

Every 3 minutes for 10 minutes

  • 3 x Power Clean
  • 3 x Strict Press
  • 3 x Front Squats

Then take 15 minutes and work up to a heavy

  • 1 x Clean and Jerk

Then AMRAP in 12 minutes

  • 9 x Clusters @ 95lbs
  • 9 x Toes to Bar

Results: Clean and Jerk (Push Press) – 135-145-155-165-175lbs. Metcon 5 rounds plus 3 reps.

Thrusters, Pullups, Split Squats and Rollouts

Took this workout from CF Invicuts’ WOD from May 20.

3 rounds of

  • 1 x Cluster + 2 x Thrusters

Then 1 round of

  • 30 seconds Row
  • 3 x Strict Pullups
  • 20 seconds Row
  • 3 x Strict Pullups
  • 10 seconds Row
  • 3 x Strict Pullups

Then Fran… 21-15-9 of

  • Thrusters @ 75lbs
  • Pullups

The two rounds of

  • 8 x Split Squats per Leg @16kg Dumbbell per Hand
  • 8 x Barbell Rollouts
  • Rest 60 seconds

Results:  For the Cluster round used 95-115-125lbs.  Fran 5:27. I scaled Fran since the Women’s weight is only 65lbs and most Women Crossfit Athletes can back squat 100+lbs more than me.

Clusters, Burpees and Box Jumps

Start with 3 rounds of

  • 3 x Power Clean
  • 3 x Front Squat
  • 3 x Strict Press

Then do 3 rounds of

1.1.1 Clusters

Over all 6 rounds, keep increasing weight to work up to a slightly higher weight than needed for the next round.

Then for time

  • 30 x Box Jumps
  • 5 x Clusters @ 95lbs
  • 20 x Box Jumps
  • 5 x Clusters @ 95.lbs
  • 10 x Box Jumps
  • 5 x Clusters @ 95lbs
  • 10 x Burpees
  • 5 x Clusters @ 95lbs
  • 20 x Burpees
  • 5 x Clusters @ 95lbs
  • 30 x Burpees

Results:  For the clusters ended up with 115lbs.  For the metcon finished in 13:25.

Clusters

Part A – Do 3 rounds of the following

  • 1 x Power Clean
  • 1 x Front Squat
  • 1 x Squat Clean
  • 1 x Strict Press

Rest 3 minutes then repeat for 3 total sets increasing weight each time

Part B – Then 6 rounds, rest at least 2 min between tounds

  • 1 x Cluster

Work up to a heavy weight.

Part C – Then 1 round

  • 20 x Clusters @ 80% of heaviest weight from previous round

Results: Part A 65-75-80lbs.  Part B 80-95-105-115-125-135. Part C with 110lbs.
