Cleans and Presses then DB Cleans, Squats and Double Unders

5 rounds of

5 x Hang Power Clean and Push Press/Jerk @ 80% of 3RM HPC

8 rounds for time

  • 12-9-6-3 x Dumbbell Hang Power Clean @ 18kg
  • 40 x Double Unders after each round

Then immediately into

  • 3-6-9-12 x Dumbbell Squats
  • 40 x Double Unders after each round

Results: 3 RM was established on 12. April @ 140lbs. Used 115lbs today. Metcon 11:04. Double Unders suffered from neglect… got all 40 in the first round but had to break with the rest into 20-10-10, arms just wouldn’t go around any more.

Deadlifts and Hip Thrusts, Box Jumps and Double Unders

5 rounds of

  • 6 x Deadlift @ 1.6 of Body Weight

Then 3 rounds of

  • 15 x Hip Thrusts @ Body Weight
  • 15 x Box Jumps

Then in as few sets as possible, resting as needed…

  • 300 x Double Unders

Results: Used 245lbs/111kg for the Deadlifts, 155lbs for the Hip Thrusts. Double Unders in 7 sets… 25-25-50×5. Was worried that since I hadn’t done DUs in a long time, I might have lost them, so really happy with this result.

Back Squats then Lunges and Double Unders

3 rounds of

  • 10 x Tempo TRX Pike Press with 1 second hold at top

5 rounds to work up to a heavy

  • 6 x Back Squat

Then AMRAP in 12 minutes of

  • 10 x Alternating Overhead Forward plus Reverse Lunge @ 16kg Left Arm (5 per leg)
  • 30 x Double Unders
  • 10 x Overhead Forward plus Reverse Lunge @ 16kg Right Arm
  • 30 x Double Unders

For the lunge, step into a forward lunge then directly step into a reverse lunge on the same leg, then switch legs. Weight stays overhead the whole time on the same arm.

Results: Back Squat 215lbs. Metccon 3 rounds plus 2 reps.
