EMOM for 15 minutes, do one exercise per minute (5 rounds)

  • 10 x Dumbbell Overhead Reverse Lunge with Dumbbell in Left Hand @ 18kg
  • 10 x Dumbbell Overhead Reverse Lunge with Dumbbell in Right Hand
  • 8 x Strict Pullups

Then Tabata (8 rounds, 20 second work-10 second rest) of

  • Dynamic Planks

Then another Tabata

  • Side Planks (switch sides per round)

A good fit from CF Invictus for what I wanted to do today (WOD from March 30, 2018)

Christine – 3 rounds for time

  • 500m Row
  • 12 x Deadlift @ Bodyweight
  • 21 x Box Jumps @ 24 inches

Then 3 rounds of

  • 6-8 x Single Leg Deadlift
  • Rest 60 seconds
  • 6-8 x Glute Bridge
  • Rest 60 seconds
  • 45 second side plank each side
  • Rest 60 seconds

Results:  For Christine 14:18.  Not bad compared to last time where I did Christine in 13:58 and this time it was after just one week back from a 2 week vacation.  Compare to workout from January 30, 2017.   For the deadlift used a 95lbs/45kg barbell.  For the glut bridge used a 45lbs plate on my torso since the 95lbs barbell didn’t really work for me.

Core Work and Pullups then Run 5k

3 rounds in Pushup position, rest 1 minute between rounds

  • 10 x Bird Dogs (total)
  • 10 x Shoulder Taps (total)
  • 10 x Dynamics Planks (up-down is one rep)
  • 10 x Plank Rotations (total)
  • 50 x Mountain Climbers (total)

Then every 3 minutes for 6 minutes (2 rounds)

  • Max Effort Unbroken Strict Pullups

Then run 5k

Results: Pullups 11 – 7.

Presses then Core Tabatas and Hip Extensions

Every 2 minutes for 10 minutes

  • 3 – 4 x Strict Press

Then every 2 minutes for 10 minutes

  • 3 – 4 x Push Press @ final weight from Strict Presses

Then a standard Tabata alternating

  • Mountain Climbers
  • Dynamic Planks (Up to hands-down to elbows)

Then a standard Tabata alternating

  • Superman Hold
  • Hollow Hold

Then not for time

  • 30 x Weighted Hip Extensions @ 35lbs (shoulders on bench, 35lb plate on lap)

Results:  Strict Press finished with 3 x 135lbs. Push Press @ 135lbs.

Strict Press and Planks then Burpees and Dips

Based on the CF Invictus WOD from December 14.

Four rounds of

  • 4-6 x Strict Press @ 110lbs/50kg
  • Rest 30 seconds
  • 45 Second Side Plank each Side
  • Rest 30 Seconds

Then five sets for max reps of Dips…

Complete in 60 seconds:

  • 15 x Burpees
  • Max reps Unbroken Dips

Rest 60 seconds between sets.

Then not for time

Results:  First part was good, kept to 6 reps except the last round when only did 5.  Second part was surprisingly difficult… 15 Burpees leaves only around 15-20 seconds to get the dips in… 22 Dips total (8-5-3-3-3).
