Presses then Pullups, DB Snatch and OH Reverse Lunge

EMOM for 6 minutes

  • 3 x Strict Press @ 80% of 1RM

Rest 1 minute, then EMOM for 6 minutes

  • 3 x Push Press @ 80% of 1RM

Then 5 rounds for time

  • 8 x Pullups
  • 8 x Dumbbell Hang Snatch Left @ 18kg
  • 8 x Alt. DB Overhead Reverse Lunge Left Hand (4 reps per leg) @ 18kg
  • 8 x Dumbbell Hang Snatch Right @ 18kg
  • 8 x Alt. DB Overhead Reverse Lunge Right Hand @ 18kg

Results: 1RM Strict Press is 150lbs. 80% is 120lbs/55kg. Turned out to be a good model, since I was at my limit after both EMOMs. Metcon 12:08.

Overhead Press then the Bergeron Beep Test

3 rounds of

  • 10 x Stability Ball Forearm Saws
  • 10 x Stir the Pot Left
  • 10 x Stir the Pot Right

Then every 2 minutes for 6 minutes, based on the RepWerks WOD from August 25

  • 5 x Strict Press @ 70-75% of 1RM
  • 5 x Push Press

Then a Bergeron Beep Test but scaling it from 7 reps to 5 reps to make it longer, EMOM for as long as possible

  • 5 x Thrusters @ 75lbs
  • 5 x Pullups
  • 5 x Burpees

Results: For the Presses and Front Squats used 115lbs/52kg which turned out to be too heavy… ended up doing 5/5-5/5-3/3+2/2 reps.

When I did the Beep Test last time with the full 7 reps I could only get in 4 minutes of work, so thought lowering the reps will get in a good 10 minutes. This time, 9 rounds plus 11 reps… very intense for the last 3 rounds, took me 15 minutes to cool down.

OH Presses then DB Snatches and Pushups

Take 15 minutes and work up to a heavy

  • 5 x Strict Overhead Press

Then EMOM for 6 minutes

  • 8 x Dumbbell Push Press @ 18kg

Then for time (time cap 20 mins)

  • 10 x Alt Dumbbell Snatch (L+R=1 rep) @ 20kg
  • 5 x Pushups
  • 9 x Alt Dumbbell Snatch (L+R=1 rep) @ 20kg
  • 10 x Pushups
  • 8 x Alt Dumbbell Snatch (L+R=1 rep) @ 20kg
  • 15 x Pushups
  • 7 x Alt Dumbbell Snatch (L+R=1 rep) @ 20kg
  • 20 x Pushups
  • 6 x Alt Dumbbell Snatch (L+R=1 rep) @ 20kg
  • 25 x Pushups
  • 5 x Alt Dumbbell Snatch (L+R=1 rep) @ 20kg
  • 30 x Pushups
  • 4 x Alt Dumbbell Snatch (L+R=1 rep) @ 20kg
  • 35 x Pushups
  • 3 x Alt Dumbbell Snatch (L+R=1 rep) @ 20kg
  • 40 x Pushups
  • 2 x Alt Dumbbell Snatch (L+R=1 rep) @ 20kg
  • 45 x Pushups

Results: Overhead Press 125lbs. Metcon 8 rounds plus 2 snatches and 40 pushups… that was a lot of pushups!

Strict Presses then Pullups, Bench Press, Dips and Row

Every 2 minutes for 10 minutes

  • 12 x Seated Dumbbell Strict Press

Then inspired by ‘The Coop’ Wod from Wodwell CF on Instagram…

For time 21-15-9 reps of

  • Pullups
  • Bench Press @ 135lbs/60kg

Rest 3 minutes then 21-15-9 reps/calories of

  • Pushups
  • Row

Results: Press 6-8-9-10-12kg. Metcons 9:42 and 4:48.

Strict Press then HSPU, DU and Dumbbell Power Cleans

5 rounds, work up to a heavy

  • 1 x Strict Press

Then AMRAP in 15 minutes

  • 5 x Handstand Pushups
  • 50 x Double Unders
  • 10 x Dumbbell Hang Power Cleans @ 16kg per hand
  • 50 x Double Unders
  • 10 x Reverse Lunge @ 16kg per hand ( 5 reps per leg)
  • 50 x Double Unders

Results: Strict Press 135-140-145-150-155lbs(failed). Warmed up with a 5-3-3-2 rep scheme before starting the singles. Metcon 2 rounds plus 160 reps (15 reps short of 3 rounds). Double Unders were weak, probably because I don’t program them enough.
