Strict Press then Front Squats and Pullups

Take 15 minutes and establish a max

  • 3 x Strict Press

Then 3 rounds of

  • 8 x Seated Strict Press @ 14kg

Then Street Parking’s WOD from December 27…

Every 2 minutes for 14 minutes

  • 7 x Front Squat @ 110lbs/50kg
  • 7 x Strict Pullups
  • 7 x Front Squat

Results: Got up to 140lbs on the Press. Metcon was tough… averaged 1:20 per round, last three rounds had to break up the Pullups but was able to keep the front squats unbroken for all rounds.

Pullups and Strict Press

Did a 4 hour hike in the snow earlier so just a quick session to finish the day.

Every 30 seconds for 20 minutes rotate through (4 rounds of each)

  • 3-5 x Strict Pullup
  • 3 x Strict Press @ 85lbs
  • 3-5 x Chin Up
  • 3 x Strict Press @ 85lbs
  • 3-5 x Wide Grip Strict Pullup
  • 3 x Strict Press @ 85lbs
  • 3-5 x Commando Pullup Left side
  • 3 x Strict Press @ 85lbs
  • 3-5 x Commando Pullups Right side
  • 3 x Strict Press @ 85lbs

Results: Two rounds of pullups with 5 reps and two rounds with 3 reps.

Pullups then Wallball, DB Snatch, Box Jump, Push Press and Row

4 rounds of the following Pullups Complex

  • 3 x Pullups
  • 3 x Wide Grip Pullups
  • 3 x Chin Ups
  • 3 x Ice Cream Makers (from Bar using either grip)

Then “Date Night” WOD from WODWell… for time

  • 90 x Wall Balls (Sandbag Thrusters)
  • 80 x Alternating Dumbbell Snatches @ 20kg (40 per arm)
  • 70 x Box Jumps
  • 60 x Push Press @ 85lbs
  • 50 Calorie Row

Reesults: Pullups were really hard. Broke often. Metcon: 29:55, probably could have gone lighter on the push press to keep up the pace.
