Strict Presses and FFE Split Squats then Row, Wall Walks and HPC

3 rounds of

  • 5 x Strict Press @ 5-10lbs heavier than last time
  • Rest 15 seconds
  • 5 x Front Foot Elevated Split Squat @ 32kg (16kg DB per hand) per leg
  • Rest 2 mimutes

Then 3 rounds of AMRAP in 4 minutes, rest 2 minutes between rounds

  • Row 25 Calories
  • 2 x Wall Walks
  • Max Hang Power Clean @ 110lbs/50kg

Results: Used 130lbs for the Presses, split rrps up as needed to get all 5 in per set with no more than 20 second rest between reps 5-4+1-4+1. Cleans 13-10-12 reps.

Overhead Press then TGUs, Wall Walks and T2B

Take 15 minutes and work up to a heavy

  • 8 x Strict Press

Then 1 round of

  • 20 x Push Press @ 70% of above weight

Then EMOM for 16 minutes rotate through the following (4 rounds of each)

  • Station 1 – 2 x Turkish Getups @ 16kg (total, one per side)
  • Station 2 – 2 x Wall Walks
  • Station 3 – 6 x Strict Toes to Bar
  • Station 4 – 8 x DB Press @ 14kg

Results: Strict Press 105lbs (65-95-105-110lbs(failed at 6 reps)). Used 75lbs for part 2.

Handstand Practice then Snatches and Overhead Squats

Take 15 minutes and work on Frog Stand press to Handstand

Then 3 rounds of

  • 1 x Wall Walk plus 3 x Wall Facing Handstand Pushups

Then every 2 minutes for 20 minutes work up to a heavy

  • 2 x Panda Pull
  • 1 x Hang Power Snatch

Then every 2 minutes for 10 minutes with empty bar

  • 5 x Standing Sotts Press with Snatch Grip
  • 3 x Heel Elevated Overhead Squat

Results: Got up to a 43kg Power Snatch.

Bench Press then Open WOD 22.1

Then 3 rounds of

  • 12 x Bench Press @ 75-80% Body Weight
  • 6-8 x Weighted Reverse Ring/TRX Rows

Then Crossfit Open WOD 22.1. For time (15 min time cap)…

Results: Used 120lbs for the Benh Press. Metcon 217 reps (completed the 90 DUs plus 8 Wall Walks) which would have placed 573rd worldwide for 55-59 year olds. 🤔
