Annecy, France

May, 2004

Annecy is a town about 30 miles south of Geneva, across the border in France.  It has a really nice old town with a nice lake front, a canal, and several castles.  On our first day we wandered around the town.  There were artists, an antiques market, at least 4 brides (must have been something in the water) and quite a few restaurants, creperies, and ice cream stands.

On the second day, we went for a hike up the mountain which is across the lake from the town.  It was a great walk through a forest which ends up looking off 1000 foot cliffs.
